Monkeys bit me! radio show invites Gabriela González Leal
The Monkeys Bite Me! (pt. Macacos Me Mordam! / es. Que Los Monos Me Muerdan!) is back, a cultural program by São Rafael Galleries with a special focus on Contemporary Art.
A collaboration with Radio A Bordo from Madrid and D. Mona Productions which brings together in a polyphonic and multilingual space a selection of artists from the most varied areas of intervention, allowing you to listen, ask, contest and discover the best of the national and international artistic vanguard . Art and Future made by Artists. With Mónica Kahlo and Sílvia Raposo. The program also includes a section with weekly highlights of the works and artists represented at São Rafael Galleries.

On the 8th November the Monkeys Bite Me! invites the multidisciplinary mexican artist Gabriela González Leal. Gabriela’s art explores different media and materials such as soccer balls, coins, bullets, clothing, Japanese paper or demonetized banknotes into sculpture. She’s part of international projects Banknote Art Concept in Australia and Money For Nothing in France. González work has been exhibited both in Mexico and in Serbia, Argentina, Germany, USA, Uruguay, Spain, Cuba and England. And it is part of collections prominent such as the Bank of Mexico; Zuckerman Museum in Florida and El Peñol Historical Museum in Colombia.
