This collection transmits, in a very visceral and particularly strong palette of colors on canvas, the faces lost in the midst of our daily urban life or not, stories of people who are forgotten, marginalized, abused, vulgar, but unique in the game of life itself. Carlos Teixeira narrates lives told as polychrome novels, in a human and screaming (in)decency.”

 

Carlos Teixeira was born in Angola and live in Braga since he was 4 years old. Sign his works as CARLOS T. Already at a young age he manifested skills in the field of painting and drawing, geting his inspiration from his experiences. Owner of a keen artistic sensibility, Carlos assumes himself predominantly as a figurative artist, both in painting and photography. In his curriculum there are numerous exhibitions and awards, he has already exhibited in Spain, France, Brazil, and at the end of 2014 he took his work “Colorful Expression 5” to Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. He was part of the 3rd, 4th and 5th Exhibition at Shair Gallery, the 5th International Art Meeting Around the Bull at Vieira Portugense Gallery, the Iberian Meeting of Plastic Arts in Oropesa, State of the Art at the Esttorial Art Exhibition, the XI Bienal Eixo Atlântico , the 4th Luso Galaico Meeting of Plastic Arts, the 1st Art Bienal of Gaia and exhibited at the Hotel Truthhotel, Casa de Murcia, 114 Gallery, FUSCA Gallery, New Art Gallery in Spain, Gnration Gallery, Osiris Gallery, Museu de Ovar, etc. Among his exhibitions, “Per Crucem ad Lucem”, “Ruralities” and “Colorful Expressions” stand out.
