ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Abílio Marcos was born in Sintra, but lived in France from 4 to 14 years old and in the United States of America from 2001 to 2003. He started using painting as a form of expression in the early 1990s and is represented in several museums, city halls , parish councils and private collections in Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium and the USA. In his artistic path, individual and collective exhibitions stand out in various galleries and spaces, such as the Fleet Bank – West Hartford (2002-2003) and Nona Gallery (2003), in the USA; International Art Promotion, in Barcelona (2003); Taurus I.N.V. in Antwerpia (2009); Vieira Portuense Gallery (2011); Kearte Gallery (2015); “Reflexos de Luz” at Beltrão Coelho Gallery (2016); Picoas Plaza Art Gallery (2011); ClubHouse Vilamoura (2008); Cubismo Gallery (2000); SNBA – National Society of Fine Arts (1994); L ́Acropole Rouge Gallery (1995); Tabu Gallery (1998); Goul ́Arte Gallery (1998); Belém Cultural Center (1999); Signature Gallery (2002); World Fine Art Gallery ( 2003); Almedina Gallery (2006), among others.
