Arista2099
Digital Painting
Arista2099 is a post-digital expressionist artist who works at the intersection of analog and digital, emotional gesture and technological distortion. His work begins with gestural and material-rich pen strokes, which are then digitized and transformed into compositions where the body, identity, and technology confront each other.
Influenced by Cubism, literature, comics, and urban art, Arista2099 also incorporates elements of mythology, religions, and surrealism, creating images overflowing with symbolism that question contemporary reality. In many cases, he uses today's cultural icons, elevating them to the category of new myths.
A fundamental part of Arista2099's work falls within the context of social work, visible in series like "NOWAR!!" and "Homeless From París," which address themes of exclusion, vulnerability, and conflict with a critical and empathetic eye.
He has participated in group exhibitions in Madrid, London, Rome, Lisbon, and Baiona (Galicia), as well as on digital platforms like Nifty Gateway and in events that intertwine art, technology, and critical thinking. Arista2099 creates images that don't seek to please but to challenge: visual pauses for an excessive world.
